People need to understand that if they ask a stupid question, they’re going to get a stupid answer. Focus on your fighting skills, not actual strength. I don’t care how much you can bench press and neither will any mma opponent.

Plyometrics. Google it. The key to mma is core strength and conditioning. It’s not your height and weight that are important or how much you bench. The key is conditioning!!!!!!!!

ok question one are your muscles toned and is your endurance fabulous (as you notice i didn’t say good because well u should know xD ) I would say a bench press of 210 is good, great actually, but bench press isn’t all that great in martial arts its speed with power. The way to test if you have a good and sharp punch is first hanging a piece of paper from a ceiling or something. Then punch it and make sure to stop your punch before hitting the paper. What should happen is the paper should be pushed back (no reason in explaining why). I’d say if the paper moves about 50 degrees back that’s good. Now try punching a punching bag and see how far back it goes from one punch.
Ok now that you know where you are just practice punching the paper and the punching bag everyday. OHHHHHHHH btw make sure you bring your punches back in like a boxer that’s key in fighting (which you probably know).
I gotta say this too. Ok the “speed” for a sharper punch comes from your shoulder and i think your lats as well. So use some dumb bells and work them out. Other dire muscles needed is your wrists. So do knuckle push ups. Another important important asset needed is your knuckles. To condition them you will need to punch anything that’s hard. What i do is spread a few sheets of newspapers on top of my marble floor and start punching. I stop punch when i punched for about 200 punches on each hand.
Now for working out this is how you should do it. One day lift heavy weights and then the next day lift light weights.

I also do MMA. The best advice I have is fight as many different people as you can. Let them give you advice. Fight people with much much more experince than you, they will give you pointers when sparring and whenever possible, sparr with your sensei.

Don’t bulk up too much on muscle. Speed is also important. So try to balance your speed and strength.

Work your core muscles by practicing ALL your kicks as slow as possible, you will have better balance and it will definately affect your technique and fighting ability.

    Goodluck**

Let me just say if you weigh 210 lbs you should be able to bench at least 210 lbs, so 201 lbs isn’t much. But with regards to MMA you need to find an MMA gym in your area. Start taking classes and the strength you need for fighting will come. You can do weight training as well.
